The Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation awarded more than $90,000 in grants to local nonprofits this fall, the Martinsburg Gazette-Mail reports.
According to the foundation's website, 501c3 organizations received grants ranging from $500 to $5,000.
Nonprofits with programs serving youth in Berkeley, Jefferson, and Morgan counties received more than $22,000.
The foundation was established in 1995 to help donors create permanent endowments to provide grants and scholarships throughout the region.
Since its inception, the EWVCF has awarded $15 million.
All of the EWVCF's grants are made possible thanks to the generosity of its donors.

A Gilesgate-based shop and community facility, Hexham’s Core Music, launches a separate workshop where up to six people will be trained how to repair guitars and make ukuleles. The European Social Fund grant supported the project and has secured funds through the County Durham Communication Foundation to equip the workshop in Burn Lane.
